Maps With Silos

Postby headphone » Wed Nov 16, 2011 5:58 pm

I was wondering if anyone knew of any maps that use silos in effective, balanced ways.
I just want to check them out and get some ideas.

Either nerd-boy or Heartless had one with silos that were airport access only. I wish I could remember the name, but I can't; I'm fairly certain it was one of nerdy's, but I don't know all his account names to check.

Funkytown Springs 2008 makes decent use of missiles I think. Stormiest Glen is alright too I think (*shameless self-plug*).

Pretty much the only times I've seen missiles be used well are when they're placed so that they don't come into play until the late-ish midgame at the earliest. Any missiles that disrupt capture phase will be bad, and obviously any sort of contested missiles are also a bad idea.

I've never really played around with the idea of putting missiles on maps, but if you can figure out a fun way to do it, all the more power to you.

I only have one account bro, and the only map that has airport access to something is this one, and that's comm towers, not a missile silo.

Don't think I've ever made a map with silos on it

EDIT: I lied. I do have another account

not that there are any maps on it though
